Discovering the Cedar Falls Indoor Farmer’s Market

Tucked inside The Cob Mercantile on Main Street in downtown Cedar Falls, the Indoor Farmer’s Market is a cozy little treasure that families will love discovering together. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted warmly by Kayla behind the counter, instantly making the space feel welcoming and inviting.

Shop owner Betsy Roling kindly invited me to explore the booths that make up this charming indoor marketplace, and it didn’t take long to see why so many locals love stopping in.

A Marketplace Full of Local Finds

The Cob Mercantile is home to a collection of booths featuring a wide variety of local vendors and handmade goods. As you wander through the shop, you’ll find adorable décor, clothing, handmade hair and skincare products, and other unique items that make perfect gifts or special treats for yourself.

For families visiting downtown Cedar Falls, it’s a fun place to browse together, discover something new, and support local businesses all at the same time.

A Cozy Corner of Creativity

In the back of the shop, you’ll find a cozy little nook where several market vendors display their products. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, sip on a cup of coffee or tea, and take your time exploring.

One vendor that really stood out was Lindsey Klein, owner of Charlie & Ruby Sue. Lindsey offers customizable slime creations that kids will absolutely love, along with fun t-shirts and tumblers that make great gifts.

Healthy Treats and Fresh Greens

Another highlight of my visit was meeting Jody Boe, owner of WYSE Bites. Her booth is filled with a variety of delicious snacks that are both decadent and healthy. It’s the kind of place where you can find treats that feel a little indulgent but are still made with wholesome ingredients.

I also enjoyed learning about microgreens from Irma Marrero and her son Carlos, the team behind Petit Green Giants. They shared how these tiny greens are packed with nutrients and can easily be added to everyday meals. Their fresh microgreens are a great way to boost flavor and nutrition in family meals at home.

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Cedar Falls

My visit to the Cedar Falls Indoor Farmer’s Market left me with an even greater appreciation for the small business owners who help make our community special.
